Science

Students at Rangebank Primary School, undertake a one-hour session of Science per week with a specialist teacher, aimed at providing opportunities to broaden their understandings of important science concepts and processes.

They are provided with the opportunity to experience the joy of scientific discovery, whilst having their natural curiosity about the world around them nurtured, further developing critical and creative thinking skills. Through a “hands-on” approach, Rangebank Primary School aims to provide a sound basis for students to further challenge themselves, enabling them to identify key questions, and draw evidence based conclusions using scientific methods.

They undertake experiments, grow plants in a controlled atmosphere, observe animal interactions, and gain first-hand knowledge of ecosystems through the observation of their own wetland garden.
