Physical Education
Each week all classes attend Physical Education for one hour. In the sessions the students focus on building their fundamental motor skills such as throwing and catching, pat bouncing, kicking, punting, forehand striking, two handed side arm striking, vertical jumping, dodging, leaping and running.
During the year, sporting groups are brought into the school to teach specific sports such as basketball, gymnastics, tennis and rugby. The grade 5 and 6 students are involved in Interschool Sport and compete against other schools. The grade 4, 5 and 6 students participate in the District Athletics and all students have access to a swimming program. Also the grade 5 and 6 students have the opportunity to compete in pushcarts at Maryborough in the Energy Breakthrough Challenge.
